As Senior Visual Designer, I assisted in designing print, web and swag assets on the Creative Services Team. We acted as an internal design agency within marketing aiding internal employees and external customers. Many thought of us as the brand police, because we made sure every piece of collateral that came from WP Engine was on brand.

Brand Icon Guidelines 2021

In 2021, I designed a new icon language for WP Engine along with the initial 32 icons . Previously, designers were making their own or pulling stock icons. These quickly became inconsistent and needed a system that all internal designers and agency stakeholders could use when representing WP Engine.

Banner Guidelines

In 2020, I created this document to optimize the look and feel as well as consistency throughout our ads. WP Engine was suffering from inconsistency issues between internal designers because there were loose guidelines. This document helped aid that problem and make sure everyone was on the same page (literally.) This book eventually found a home in Figma in late 2021 as the company made the shift from most Adobe programs.

Go To Market Kickoff 2023

In Q1 2023, I had the pleasure of leading design of our company internal kick off. The slogan chosen from many was; be the spark. This alluded to igniting the fires of company success. To bring hype to the event and attitude of employees, a comic style was used throughout the assets.

Plugin Madness 2023

Every year Torque (a WP Engine property) hosts a bracket style voting for the best plugin of the year. I designed the original 2021 logo to feel like March Madness, which this event piggy backed off of in March. Each year brought a slightly new creative to fit the month when the event took place.

All of our sales diagram adopted this refreshed look following these initial designs aiming to improve legibility while modernizing the look and feel.

Bike jersey 2018

This asset was created for an internal bike marathon fundraiser to support men’s health. Those who participated from the company received these as a participation reward. It was a fun and interesting item to design.
